Edna Chocolates gets shut down

Chocolate company "Edna Chocolates Limited", located in Sri Lanka, was shut down yesterday due to using imported milk powder from China and Hong Kong suspected of containing Melamine.

Melamine is a chemical used to make various foams and plastics. It is often added to concrete to strengthen it. In the human body, it can cause kidney stones, along with reproductive damage and bladder problems. In the United States, the Food Safety and Inspection Service runs tests on animal products such as meat, eggs and dairy products to ensure that they do not contain any melamine.

Rest assured that Haydee Chocolatier does not use any imported dairy products that contain melamine!
